Born in Kingsland, Arkansas on February 26, 1932, Johnny Cash, started writing and singing songs when he was only 12. Since then, the boy’s talent amazed his mother Carrie.

Musical Aspirations

In the late ’50s, he decided to join the U.S Air Force and was sent to Landsberg, Germany. After that, he got married and returned to Memphis, Tennessee. Later Cash teamed up with a couple of mechanics who started to rehearse in their houses.

Johnny quickly became the frontman of the group, captivating everyone with his unique synthesis of blues and country and western music through live performances.

Drug Abuse and Revival
